Genova Firming Cream is built for the same concern with a different approach and a different budget. Its actives are hexapeptide-10, sold as Serilesine, a peptide used in firming products, and Nocturshape, a complex aimed at how compact and smooth the skin looks, in a base of shea butter, olive oil and squalane. It comes in a 120ml airless pump because it is meant for the neck, décolletage and upper arms as well as the face.
It has no retinoid and no acid, so it suits reactive skin, and it layers under sunscreen or sits as the last step at night. It does contain fragrance, so patch test first. It will not feel like a $185 cream; it feels like a good, unfussy cream you can afford to use generously where it is needed most.
The honest limits: Serilesine and Nocturshape are Lipotec actives with supplier data only, and we do not quote those figures. A review in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science by Gorouhi and Maibach found peptide evidence promising but thin. There is no SPF.
