Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Gel-Creme is a light gel-cream. Its ingredient list, published by Estée Lauder's retailers, leads with water, silicones and bifida ferment lysate, the fermented ingredient the whole Advanced Night Repair range is built on. Further down are sodium hyaluronate, tripeptide-32, caffeine, vitamin E, and iron oxides, which are skin-toned pigments.
That last ingredient explains a lot of the love for this product. The iron oxides give a soft tint, so dark circles look brighter the moment you apply it. Caffeine, as Herman and Herman describe in Skin Pharmacology and Physiology, can briefly improve microcirculation and take the edge off puffiness. Hyaluronic acid plumps the surface for a few hours. Together they produce a very good instant effect, which is what most reviews describe.
The longer-term ingredients are the ferment and the single peptide. Independent research on bifida ferment lysate in eye products is limited, and tripeptide-32 has very little published outside the company. That is not a criticism; it is the same situation as most branded actives, including ours.

Google Shopping listed the Estée Lauder eye cream from about $85 through discount and parallel-import sellers the same day, so the real gap depends on where you buy. Genova Perfecting Eye Serum was formulated around the three changes women over 45 describe most: puffiness that no longer settles by mid-morning, circles that have deepened, and lines at the outer corner that concealer now sinks into. Each has its own active: acetyl tetrapeptide-5 for the look of puffiness, plankton extract for the look of dark circles, and acetyl octapeptide-3 for the look of expression lines.
