LED Red Light Therapy Skin Improvement

What is LED Light Therapy
LED is an acronym for “Light Emitting Diode”. Essentially, LEDs are very small semiconductors that emit light when a current is passed through it. Over the past few years, specialised therapeutic LEDs have been used for the purpose of skin rejuvenation. Importantly, different wavelengths of LED light can be used to target various skin conditions from acne, to ageing skin. Each wavelength will penetrate a different depth of the skin and will have a different effect on the skin. The deep penetrating and soothing LED lights are also ideal for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improving uneven skin tone, and illuminating the skin.
Unlike laser treatments, LED light therapy is non-invasive and non-thermal, meaning that no recovery time after application is required. Importantly, LED light therapy involves the use of continuous light, rather than pulses. This means that the LED light will not inflame the skin’s surface.
History of LED Light Therapy
NASA originally developed LED therapy for plant growth experiments on shuttle missions. Interestingly, NASA found LED light therapy to have benefits for wound treatment. Importantly, LED light therapy is now used by many skin clinics to help regenerate the skin from the aging process.
Benefits of LED therapy
By improving your skin’s function, LED light therapy will induce faster healing, making it the perfect treatment to combine with your skin regime. Importantly, LED light therapy is fine to use for all skin types. LED light therapy is a pain-free, non-invasive, soothing, and rejuvenating skin treatment. This treatment will help treat acne breakouts, fine lines and wrinkles, post inflammatory scarring, and conditions such as Rosacea. Importantly, LED light therapy will not only help minimise acne, but also soothe your skin and reduce both redness and inflammation.
Using LED Red Light
One of the key colours used in LED therapy is Red light. Importantly, Red LED light therapy may improve scarring and signs of aging. It may do this by acting on “fibroblasts” which are cells that are responsible for Collagen production. Interestingly, Collagen is a protein in the skin which plays a vital role in skin healing. The body produces less Collagen as a person ages. Ultimately, this process causes the skin to show the signs of aging.
Introducing Genova’s Ion Applicator
Apart from creating an electrical current and a vibration effect, the Genova Ion applicator also produces LED Red light therapy. By simply holding the Ion applicator in your hand and applying it to your face, the device will automatically turn itself on and instantly generate its Red LED light. The light from the device will start working immediately to drive the selected Genova cream, serum, or gel deeper into your skin than fingertips alone
As outlined, Genova’s LED treatment works by using its bright Red light-emitting diodes to send low-level light energy into the deeper layers of the skin. Genova’s Ion Applicator Red light LEDs will stimulate cellular activity (which gives young skin its plump look). This will help to visibly reduce fine lines, wrinkles, dark and age spots, stretch marks and to also reduce redness visibly within the skin. A simple 2-minute application twice daily is all you’ll need to show dramatic improvement in your skin over time. You’ll love your results.
